At Five Star Kitchen Design Center, we’re committed to creating a kitchen that suits your style and lifestyle. The design foundation starts with creating a layout that provides optimal function, flow, and storage. We then closely collaborate with you on every design element so that your kitchen is a reflection of who you are, what you like, and how you live. Our showroom contains a vast selection of the nation’s leading brands of cabinets, countertops, and hardware allowing you to truly envision how your kitchen will come to life.
We encourage you to peruse our Inspiration Gallery and Featured Projects for examples of our work, which range from traditional to contemporary to transitional. The project below highlights a kitchen we completed for clients in Park Ridge, New Jersey.
A Layout that Functions and Flows
This u-shaped kitchen layout is a space maximizer that optimizes the function of the kitchen, allowing for a range and two additional ovens, fridge, dishwasher, and beverage fridge. The three walls of cabinetry, a large island, and double-door pantry provide an abundance of storage. Long lines of countertop and the island create plenty of prep space and are ideal for entertaining. And the location of the double wall ovens and fridge enable easy access for placing items on the island. With this layout, multiple cooks can work together simultaneously!
A Warmed-Up White Kitchen
White kitchen cabinets have long been a design staple. They are simply timeless, standing up to all the trends. Quite often they are paired with Carrera marble and white tile for a sleek, monochromatic look. For this project, our clients opted to warm up Fabuwood Nexus cabinets in Frost with pops of darker neutral tones. The veining in the countertops and the Daltile Tiger Eye Tile Indo TE24 backsplash, together with the black pendant lighting and dark wood floor, work together to ground the space. Instead of coordinating with the stainless steel appliances, our clients chose to add wrought iron hardware to complete the look. All of the design elements add layers of visual interest to the room.
A Trio of Lighting Sources
This kitchen incorporates the three key lighting sources: surface (under-cabinet), recessed, and pendant. The trio of sources are not only aesthetically pleasing to the eye by balancing the room, but also help you complete all your prep and cooking tasks with ease.
Additional Features
A few more features to highlight:
- Vent hood that seamlessly blends in with the cabinetry
- Island overhang – the perfect place to have coffee, eat breakfast, to chat with guests while your cook, and for kids to do their homework
- Sink perfectly centered between the windows overlooking the yard for a view while you clean dishes
